Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy)

SkinPen Precision Microneedling stimulates the body's own collagen production to tighten, lift and rejuvenate the skin. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves uneven skin tone and texture, and minimizes pores, stretch marks and scarring, including pitted acne scars. It has an excellent safety profile and is safe for light and dark skin types. Immediately following the procedure, most patients will look as though they have a moderate to severe sunburn, and the skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. These effects are normal and subside after 1 to 2 hours. They typically diminish within 24 hours but may take up to 48 hours to resolve completely.

Dermal fillers are an increasingly popular and safe treatment which help to treat wrinkles and volume loss in the face, lips, and hands. Fillers are very effective in restoring fullness to the cheeks, temple hollows, tear troughs, lips, and deep creases around the mouth. They can also be used to effectively diminish scars, erase fine lines, and lift a down-turned mouth. Results can be seen immediately, but it takes about 3-4 weeks to see full results. There is little downtime, and patients can return to most everyday activities immediately following the procedure, but some patients may experience some bruising or swelling.

Botox

Botox (Botulinum toxin therapy) is a very safe and effective treatment used to erase deep and fine wrinkles including those on the forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet, lips, and neck. Patients can return to most everyday activities immediately following the procedure and results are seen within 3-7 days. Botox typically lasts 3 months initially, but results are usually longer lasting in patients receiving regular Botox treatment.

Chemical Peels

GlyDerm GlyPeels (“Lunchtime peels”) are professional grade esterified glycolic acid peels used to diminish many signs of aging on the face as well as the hands, neck, and chest. They treat fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin tone, improve texture and roughness, and fade sun spots, freckles and pigment irregularities. Chemical peels also treat some medical skin conditions including acne, mild acne scarring, actinic keratoses, and melasma. Glycolic acid peeling is a safe, quick, and painless procedure with no downtime, and can be used in patients with sensitive or acne-prone skin. Patients generally experience tingling or mild stinging during the procedure and can expect the skin to be pink for several hours after. Some patients will notice mild flaking for several days.

  • Tretinoin cream: Prescription tretinoin cream is the foundation of any anti-aging skincare regimen.  It is also a first-line treatment for a number of dermatologic conditions including acne, milia (small cysts), and melasma.

  • Sunscreens: All are non-comedogenic and fragrance-free. All have high SPF values, with different products formulated especially for those with rosacea, acne-prone skin, oily skin or sensitive skin. There is an SPF-50 water resistant sunscreen for the sports enthusiast.

  • Topical antioxidants: C E Ferrulic, Phloretin, and Resveritrol for the reversal and prevention of photo aging.

  • Facial moisturizers (including Daily Moisture, B5 Hydrating gel, and Hydrate).
